What Parents Have To Say
Here, you can hear from families who have worked with me over the 21+ years of experience with Gifted and Twice Exceptional students.
If you’d like, you’re welcome to share your story too. Your experience may gently reassure another parent of a gifted or twice-exceptional child that they’re not alone.
It is my pleasure to recommend Kevin Spooner.
My daughter has had many wonderful teachers over the years, but Kevin made a particularly lasting impact on her. During her first year of Middle School, a school year that wasn’t always easy, she often told me that he was the one teacher who truly believed in her and made her feel seen. As a parent, there is no greater gift than knowing your child has an educator who recognizes their strengths and helps them feel confident in themselves.
Kevin created an environment where curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking were encouraged, but just as importantly, he built meaningful relationships with his students. He saw them as individuals and challenged them in ways that made learning exciting rather than intimidating.
His passion for gifted education is evident, but what sets him apart is the genuine care he has for the children he teaches. That combination of expertise and compassion is rare, and it is something that will undoubtedly benefit the schools, educators, and families he serves through his consulting work.
I am incredibly grateful for the positive impact Kevin had on my daughter, and I recommend him without reservation.
Sincerely,
Heidi Salo
Dear Mr. Spooner,
We recently learned of you relocating and couldn't help but reflect on what a significant void you leave behind.
You have been a remarkable presence in the classroom, serving as both a transformative mentor and a dedicated champion for every student under your care.
Our family remains deeply moved by how you motivated our daughters to broaden their perspectives and reach for their most ambitious dreams.
Even now, they often reference the cognitive tools you shared with them, which continue to serve as essential cornerstones in their academic progress.
Beyond academics, your guidance instilled in them a lasting desire to serve others and a global mindset. You taught them the importance of contributing to the greater good, leaving us forever impacted by your wisdom.
With gratitude,
The Diemert Family
